The CCTV video was recorded on a different date, not 1st June (when the customer bought the phone) or 17th July (when his phone got damaged). Regarding the circulated video, Xiaomi claims that:1.3. Xiaomi claims that there is no evidence in the video to suggest that the device is a Redmi Note 4 or any other Xiaomi phone. As for the video, a report from News18 claims that the same video has been used on YouTube to depict an exploding OPPO smartphone. Xiaomi India only started selling devices at 3G and Fone 4 stores a few weeks ago in Kerala. Therefore, Xiaomi swung into action and investigated the case. The video is not from the aforementioned Poorvika store or any other Poorvika store. The company claims that in an earlier incident, one of their Redmi Note 4 customers reported to a service centre in Bangalore with faults in the device. After inspection, they found out that the concerned unit had received damages due to the use of a faulty third-party charger along with evidence of physical damage to the unit.
The customer in the video is not the one they dealt with regarding the unit replacement case. However, a recent video circulating on the social media has been showing a device exploding while it is inspected by the dealer.5. Smartphone manufacturers are extremely careful about the safety of their products, especially after Samsung’s Galaxy Note 7 fiasco.(source).In an official press statement, the company has claimed that the footage has no relation with any of its products. CCTV footage claims a Redmi Note 4 exploding during inspection; Xiaomi disapproves of the unit being a Xiaomi device at all. Upon close inspection, it seems impossible to identify the handset from the low-resolution video.Xiaomi stresses on the fact that they have been following strict quality control measures to deliver the best experience from their products. In fact, there is no evidence in the video to suggest that the device is a Redmi Note 4 or any other Xiaomi phone.
Their investigation revealed that the exploding device on the footage doesn’t belong from Xiaomi’s portfolio. The company says that they find the action very disturbing and will be taking a legal action against the original publisher of the incident. The video allegedly claimed the device to be Xiaomi’s Redmi China PVC injection molding machine Manufacturers Note 4.Xiaomi says that the unit was replaced with a brand new Redmi Note 4, despite the customer-induced damage. On further investigation, they found that the CCTV video was from a retailer in Anamangad, Kerala. OEMs across the world have ensured stringent safety regulations before each device leaves the production line. Now, no company wants to suffer from the crisis that Samsung went through last year.4. The customer has confirmed to Xiaomi that the people in the video do not include or represent him or any of his relatives

At first glance, it looks more like a conventional air cooler, but the unit can do more wonders than we think. The appliance has a simple function in its entire lifecycle — suck in and release air. While nothing can be done (as easily, and soon) with outdoor pollution, the indoor air pollution can surely be reduced or tackled. While there are numerous air purifiers available in the market, choosing the right one for your home is essential. These itself are good enough to affect the health and comfort of occupants, and even worse, children at home.2ft wide and weighs around 7.5ft tall, approximately 1. HXM servo Injection Molding Machine Rating: The quality of air around the world is slowly degrading, and thanks to numerous polluting sources, we are soon seeing a rise in health problems. The Tefal Intense Pure Air XL is built with a slim design that stands around tall 2.We have heard about air purifiers in Indian from various brands such as Xioami, Samsung, BlueAir and a lot more.
These include irritation of eyes, nose and/or throat, headaches, dizziness and even fatigue. While the outdoor air is surely a concern, you should know that the indoor air in your home is equally unsafe. Tefal is a French cookware and small appliance manufacturer owned by Groupe SEB India. The purifier comes in two variants — a regular that is aimed at smaller sized rooms such as a bedroom, while the XL, which is for larger halls and alike. The air vent faces upwards which shoots pure filtered air into the upper area of the house/room.Health effects from indoor air pollutants could be experienced immediately after exposure or, possibly, years later. The brand set foot in India exactly a year ago with the launch of air purifiers and we managed to get our hands on a Tefal Intense Pure Air XL unit. The vent has guides that can be manually adjusted to direct the clean air to any upward direction.
These appliances help filter the air inside homes/rooms and release pure air that is clean and safe to breathe. Its name is a portmanteau of the words TEFlon and ALuminium.. The company is known for creating the non-stick cookware category. Dust inside homes usually settle around furniture and unreachable corners, and add to that the smoke that is let out from the kitchen during cooking. While these can be treated easily, exposure to some harmful pollutants can also lead to asthma and even cancer. Air purifiers cost upwards of Rs 10,000, and it all depends on the model, type and the filters used within. If members of your family suffer from air-related health issues, you should consider this for your home. The XL has a unique design that is not similar to most conventional air purifiers out there. Tefal is a French cookware and small appliance manufacturer owned by Groupe SEB India. Sadly, the guides are made from flimsy plastic, which threatens to break if used with a heavy force. Suspended particles inside homes are considered an equally higher threat. We found the idea unique as most air purifiers cannot be kept in tight spaces or blocked by furniture, but this one gets a bit of relief. However, it should not be much of an issue as the guides will e rarely touched.5kg. The chassis looks tough, but the white exterior is bound to leave marks if not cleaned regularly. While others have the air intake area either upfront, on the sides or all around it, the Tefal Intense Pure Air XL has vents that pull in the air to be filtered from little vents that are seen on the sides of the front panel.Indoor air quality can be maintained and reduced by installation of air purifiers. The entire body is made of plastic and the unit we received was white with a few highlights of silver and black. While older air purifiers simply incorporated a mesh or filter to capture suspended dust particles, modern counterparts go ahead with technology to filter out harmful pollutants and release ions into the air for a better indoor air quality. And here is Tefal that adds to the brand list

Researchers are currently taking on the same design challenge, in combination with the mathematics by which the path of the printhead can be optimised. The extruded plastic is fed through the nozzle at such high forces and temperatures that a printed layer can still be slightly molten by the time the printer is extruding a second layer. The team also displayed the new designed by printing several detailed, handheld 3D objects, including small eyeglass frames, a bevel gear, and a miniature replica of the MIT dome — each, built from scratch within few minutes. We are also working on larger-scale 3-D printing, not just printing desktop-scale objects but bigger structures for tooling, or even furniture,” Hart says. The researchers initially printed several complex parts using the new printer, each produced within five to 10 minutes, compared with an hour for conventional printers. The team will also explore new materials to feed through the nozzle.
The key to the nimble design lies in the printer’s compact printhead, which consists of two new speed-enhancing China wholesale PVC injection molding machine components: a screw mechanism that feeds polymer material through a nozzle at high force; and a laser, built into the printhead, that rapidly heats and melts the material, making it to flow faster through the nozzle.“If I can get a prototype part, maybe a bracket or a gear, in five to 10 minutes rather than an hour, or a bigger part over my lunch break rather than the next day, I can engineer, build, and test faster,” says Hart. However, they had to face some glitches in their speedier design. While most of the common printers may fabricate a few Lego-sized bricks in one hour, the new model can print it just few minutes.
“We’re interested in applying this technique to more advanced materials, like high strength polymers, composite materials. While most of the common printers may fabricate a few Lego-sized bricks in one hour, the new model can print it just few minutes.(Representational image) MIT engineers have developed a new desktop 3D printer that can perform up to 10 times faster that the conventional counterparts. “The capability to print fast opens the door to many exciting opportunities. The key to the nimble design lies in the printer’s compact printhead, which consists of two new speed-enhancing components: a screw mechanism that feeds polymer material through a nozzle at high force; and a laser, built into the printhead, that rapidly heats and melts the material, making it to flow faster through the nozzle.Anastasios John Hart, associate professor of mechanical engineering at MIT, believes the new printer demonstrate the potential for 3D printing to become a more viable production technique.”

The rioting started in Moti Karanja around 10 pm and later spread to Gandhi Nagar, Raza Bazaar, Shah Ganj and Sarafa Bazar areas, the police said. Jhanjal was questioned by the special investigation team (SIT) and arrested for rioting and arson. The audio, which is weak in the video, stated that some family was stuck amidst the rioting. The illegal assembly, which was prohibited for 48 hours has been eased and the suspended internet services have been restored, officials said. Other SRPF personnel, however, could be heard shouting at the mob and asking them not to smash parked cars,” said Mr Bharambe. When the personnel moved ahead, the unruly mob targeted the cars.
The verification of the video revealed that the personnel seen in it are attached with the State Reserve Police Force (SRPF) and that they had no local connect, which could have lead them to be partial towards the rioters. The rioting started in Moti Karanja around 10 pm and later spread to Gandhi Nagar, Raza Bazaar, Shah Ganj and Sarafa Bazar areas, the police said.. The police had to resort to teargas shells and plastic bullets to control the rioting and arson, in which several personnel too were injured.Meanwhile, the additional director general of police, Bipin Behari reached Aurangabad and reviewed the situation.
The China plastic injection machine Manufacturers preliminary verification of the alleged video, which raised questions over the police’s role in the Aurangabad riots last week, has concluded with the concerned security personnel being given a ‘clean chit’ by the police department.Meanwhile, the additional director general of police, Bipin Behari reached Aurangabad and reviewed the situation.IPS officer Milind Bharambe, who is currently holding charge of the Aurangabad police commissioner, said that they have already arrested local Shiv Sena corporator Rajendra Jhanjal, who was allegedly captured in the video shaking hands with the SRPF personnel. The SIT has been formed to investigate into 12 FIRs that have been registered by Aurangabad police in connection with the lawlessness that killed two persons and injured over 60 others. The same was looked into and the handshake of Jhanjal with the SRPF was not to support them. “The verification was done after questions were raised on the police role in handling the situation and acting in support of the rioting mob. The rioters set ablaze at least 100 shops and 80 vehicles, including police vans. The verification does not require submission of a formal report, added officials. The police teams are now investigating the FIRs and have arrested at least 100 persons in the cases. He spoke to media there and stated that the situation could have been dealt in a better way

Fraud analytics can identify risky calls and transactionsIn any call center, the CSR is focused on taking care of customers’ needs and providing a good customer experience. What the CSR didn’t know is that she unwittingly just helped a fraudster steal thousands of Indian rupees from a real customer’s account. By ingesting and linking vast amounts of data from these disparate systems, the fraud analytics engine can identify anomalous behavior quickly—often in real time, which provides the opportunity to deploy a mitigation that prevents a financial loss. Aggregated and associated with each other, they raise a red flag of risk.Wanting to help this long-time customer, the CSR set up the funds transfer transaction and scheduled it for the next business day.
He needs to send the money to the overseas bank account as soon as possible. He provided the right account number, address and answers to the various security questions. In addition, the vast amount of account numbers and other personal data that has been stolen through data breaches make it easier for criminals to pass through the knowledge-based authentication process that most call centers use. Call center fraud is a large and growing problem.Consider the caller who says he wanted to send money to his daughter.“Individually, these pieces of data might be curious but not necessarily suspicious.A criminal might make several calls to “prime the pump” for his eventual fraud attack. The research and advisory firm Aite Group claims that 61% of all fraud cases can be traced back to a call center. Aite predicts that call center related fraud losses will double by 2020. The CSR asked him a series of security questions to authenticate his identity. And, data from public records could show that the real account holder has no children. The transition to EMV (chip) cards drove a six-fold increase in call center fraud attempts the year EMV was implemented.”
A cat and mouse game makes fraudulent behavior harder to spot. That prediction might prove true given that in 2017, 40% of businesses saw their call center fraud levels increase. A modern fraud analytics engine produces a risk score that, if sufficiently high, alerts management. An advanced fraud analytics platform is a necessity to accurately detect fraud in real time and to have the opportunity to disrupt the scheme and prevent the loss.Enterprise fraud management platforms have been around for years, but many legacy platforms lack the capabilities to make critical data associations and identify anomalous behaviors of user accounts.Another common trick that fraudsters use is to spoof the phone number shown through Caller ID using software readily available on the Internet. Data from the CBS could show that the foreign account that the money was to go to was just recently added. However, viewed holistically with other transactions, these actions could paint a pattern of high-risk behavior. However, recent advancements in a range of technologies from Big Data to machine learning have come together to help build a new kind of advanced fraud analytics platform. The caller told the bank’s customer service representative (CSR) that his daughter is going to school in another country, and he wants to send her money via electronic funds transfer to pay her tuition. The CSR is not focused on screening for fraud—and this is as it should be.Nilesh Dherange, CTO for Gurucul says, “Several factors are causing the increase.. Those activities, in and of themselves, don’t typically raise a red flag for risk, especially when a different CSR handles each call. Mitigation actions can be automated; for example, to cancel the scheduled payment transfer before it can happen,” said Dherange. Fraudsters use a call center for data mining and account takeovers – for example, by changing an account password or customer address – and this becomes a launching point for cross-channel attacks. Then they use social engineering to dupe the helpful CSRs.This story is far from unique. He’d tried to do this online but couldn’t complete the transaction and he needs help from a knowledgeable service agent.
Data from the phone system could show that the time of day of the call was inconsistent with previous calls associated with this account. This is what a modern fraud management engine can do with incredible accuracy so that the employees of the call center can focus on providing superior service. This makes data such as the phone number and the call location origin poor sources of caller authentication. The caller thanked her for being so helpful. This type of solution uses machine learning, a form of artificial intelligence, to analyze millions of datapoints from a variety of siloed, cross-channel sources, such as a ticketing system, the phone system, high speed injection molding machine Manufacturers a source of transactions such as a core banking system (CBS), and even public databases. Fraudsters use a call center for data mining and account takeovers – for example, by changing an account password or customer address – and this becomes a launching point for cross-channel attacks. The fraudster can appear to be calling from the victim’s geographic region or actual phone number. Financial institutions are highly regulated, with a fiduciary responsibility to protect their depositors’ and investors’ interests and assets. Instead, technology can be used to find the signals of fraudulent behavior and bring them to light for assessment and, if necessary, mitigation. For example, he might call one time to reset an account password and call again days later to provide a new mailing address. A CSR would not see this pattern due to his limited view of a single call ticket, so technology must be used to root it out.Call center fraud is a large and growing problem. Data from the ticketing system could show that someone changed the password on this account just days earlier

Plastic money becomes expensive to use if the individual transactions are small. For individuals, plastic (payment cards) and e-money provides far greater security despite the risk from cybercrime. Regional hackathons to develop solutions to specific barriers can pay rich dividends in creating an ecosystem of innovative thinkers focused on solving the problem. The high level of poverty and a low savings and consumption levels make rural branches uneconomic.India has 26 million credit cards and 712 million debit cards. Typically, micro-transactions of less than 5 (Rs 340) are not viable through plastic money and would need to be cross-subsidised. Easy access to POS ready merchants and vendors is key for building the credibility of plastic money as an alternative to cash. Why should electronic payment and simultaneous tax deduction not be made compulsory for commercial entities in all those towns and villages which already have the necessary basic profile — access to electricity along with phone and road connectivity? Why not “carpet bomb” the 50 largest cities in India with assistance and persuasion to say no to cash? One cannot develop an entire ecosystem for junking cash by fiat alone. So it is no surprise that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a man in a rush, is urging the country to abandon cash. The corresponding numbers are less than one for a credit card at an ATM and 38 at a POS. India stands at a ratio of 480 accounts per 1,000 adults.5 million commercial entities accept cashless transactions in India. Mobile money accounts comprise 55 per cent of such e-money accounts. (Photo: PTI) Going cashless is a good idea.
The Reserve Bank of India revolutionised the licensing of payment banks earlier this year by bringing in a “year-around”, entrepreneur-driven approach of welcoming proposals for opening banks and branches which provide less than the full range of banking services without inviting proposals for bank licensing through formal rounds, as previously. We are a long way off from the frontier of cashless transactions.A mere 1. Over the period of 2010 to 2015, the number of e-money accounts have grown at the rate of an astonishing 63 per cent per annum — more than triple the rate at which bank accounts have increased over the same period in economies which lack universal financial access. The government started the RuPay debit card in 2014 with the hope that it would incentivise the international biggies in the business — MasterCard and Visa to look more seriously at the potential fortune which lies at the bottom of the pyramid — the small transactions end of the market.
Engage millennials to figure out how to fast forward us there out of turn.A more serious missing link for ramping up cashless transactions is the relative scarcity of point of sale (POS) acceptability of cashless transactions. There are some limitations which need to be overcome or gone around like the poor quality of electricity supply, dodgy Net connectivity and the additional cost that needs to be borne to digitise small-value transactions via POS arrangements. This is where e-money becomes the most appropriate vehicle to mop up the micro-transactions market in India which could account for as much as two-thirds of the total transactions. If the government is serious about junking cash it must engage with phone carriers and the progressive electricity utilities, the Railways, e-pay platforms, and commercial associations to work out a “reward” driven strategy to move 50 per cent of commercial transactions above Rs 500 to digital settlement. The future is digital. Compare this with around 40 per cent of cash transactions in more developed markets. There are, in addition, 30 million micro enterprises. The incentive structure, which today privileges cash settlement because of its lower transaction cost, must be reviewed and reversed. After all, cigarettes are still sold as singles in India; a paan (betel) costs just Rs 20 and a street meal is Rs 100. But, in India, e-money continues to languish at merely 10 per cent of transactions.5 million commercial entities accept cashless transactions in India.. This is virtually double color injection molding machine Manufacturers impossible via our clunky and inefficient public sector banking system. The good news is that we are better off than low- and middle-income countries, which averaged just 22 cashless transactions per year per person.
This is a fair achievement given the scale of poverty, illiteracy, gender discrimination and the sparse spread of bank branches, particularly in rural areas — just around 40,000 for six lakh villages and a population of 800 million.A mere 1. Bringing all these service providers into the POS net expands the market by an order of magnitude. So innovative mechanisms should be developed to provide “barefoot” banking to the poor. Compare this with the 25 million registered commercial enterprises in India. In comparison cards or e-money options are used to conduct around 280 transactions a year per person in high-income economies. Studies of consumer behaviour indicate that paying by card or e-money encourages you to spend more than you would otherwise. Businesses also gain. The average use is just 12 times per debit card every year at an ATM and barely two transactions per year per debit card at a POS. For the government, the biggest gain is an easy audit trail to assess individuals and businesses to tax and to ferret out illegal transactions like the financing of crime, terror, smuggling and drugs. We need to pursue this approach and establish a bank branch for every cluster of 5,000 adults.A 2015 World Bank survey established that increasing the number of banked people in the economy is the most relevant intervention till one reaches the level of around 800 accounts per 1,000 adults. But use is low.Ramping up the scale of e-money is a “quick win”. But how far are we from the point where a cashless economy can kick in? Presently, at least, 95 per cent of personal consumption related transactions in numbers (not volume) are in cash. The newly-issued Rs 2000 notes
